Past, current and incoming Power Squadron members are all welcome at Squadron Nights, held on the
third Monday of each month. We meet at the False Creek Yacht Club on the north shore of False
Creek under the Granville Street Bridge. The doors open at 7:00 pm, the event begins at 7:30 pm,
and the cost is $5.00 per person. We look forward to seeing you there!

of Vancouver and other Tales of how the Port
Please join us for our November Squadron Night when Capt. Stephen Brown will talk about moving dangerous goods through the Port of Vancouver and other tales of how the Port works.
Stephen spent 21 years at sea where he served as Master for the last 5 years. After coming ashore, Stephen worked in various levels of operational management for Gearbulk in South Africa, Indonesia, China, the UK and Vancouver. In China, Stephen was stationed in the Port of Tianjin where he attended the construction, and subsequently managed for three years, a joint venture marine terminal. Stephen was recorded as the first foreigner to be given permission to work full time in a major Chinese port. On leaving Gearbulk in 2007, Stephen joined Tidal Transport & Trading Ltd. as General Manager for Canada and President of Tidal USA. Stephen went on to serve as the President of the Chamber of Shipping of British Columbia from September 2008 to February 2016. Prior to his appointment he chaired a number of Chamber committees, served on the Chamber's Board for eight years and was Chairman of the Board from February 2007 to July 2008. Stephen currently serves as Director of Operations and Security, Harbour Master with the Port of Vancouver.
